Great location, easy access to lake, parks and local entertainment. Been here almost 6 years. Never had issues with owners. Always been kind, helpful and informed beforehand to any changes or repairs that might affect us. No discrimination, no micromanagement. Fair and honest treatment. I personally have been a renter for over 40 years. What a joy it is to have managers/owners who behave this way. We pay our space rent on time and we follow the park rules, as set in the packet you get when applying. It seems most of the complaints come from folks who stopped paying the rent, and/or kept breaking park rules. By the way, both Lost Creek and Dexter roads are posted 25 MPH. Just saying.

In all honestly I have never experienced something like this in my lifetime. Over our first phone conversation I spoke w the woman. I told her that I was interested in buying a home in the park. She asked if I work and if so where at? if I could pay 3xs the space rent? If I have any children? And if I have any pets? I told her that yes I work and where at. I said that I made 3xs the space rent and that I have a daughter and that I have two emotional support animals. She Asked me the weight of the animals. I told her one was 5lbs and the other 40lbs. She told me they only accept dogs over 20 lbs if they are a service dog. She said I needed medical records and that my dog had to be registered as a service animal. I explained to her the actual law and how she was incorrect. I told her that was a fair housing violation and an ADA violation. She said she would speak w her attorney about that and we agreed to meet and talk the following day. Upon meeting the park owner and her husband I was discriminated against and my privacy very violated. We briefly spoke about service animals. She raised her voice and told me she has an attorney and she knows the law and said we would speak no more about it. When I was told that I needed 10 years of work history I explained that I was a stay at home mom for a number of years but that I have 4 current years of work history. I was asked by the woman “how did you pay your rent?” That shook me. She asked me in our conversation “do you have a disability” I replied “yes” she replied “oh ok that’s all I’m allowed to ask I guess”. She showed me pictures and videos of a neighbor within the park destroying his own wife’s car and told me of the drug use and chaos that goes on in there. She said she didn’t want to “hear about it later from me”. She was kind enough to warn me of the awful dangerous water there that can cause cancer and other issues (her words). She ended the conversation with saying “if that’s it then we are done here” I thanked her for her time and my daughter and I walked away. I was pretty angry at first and shocked as well. How did I let this woman talk down to me and be so rude! Why didn’t I stand up for my self or walk away!!! after I drove for a bit it all sank in and left me pretty shaken. Why are people so hardened and unkind. She violated my fair housing rights my privacy and completely disrespected me. I wish I had been recording the conversation. From now on going into these types of situations I just might. As for her someday it will catch up to her. People need to report these situations and help put a stop to this type of thing. I will be reporting her to more than one place. (The park it’s self appears in good condition and is cleaned up compared to the last time I was in there).
