Dan Ryker Music Lessons

My teen took piano lessons from Dan for a year. Dan is a gifted musician but also a gifted teacher and in my opinion that makes him an exceptional person to learn from. He has always been professional, kind, calm and knowledgeable. My daughter had just come from a difficult piano teacher resulting in her wanting to quit piano. Dan tailored the lessons specifically for my daughter, challenging her and encouraging her but in a way that spoke to her. Taking lessons from Dan she has grown her knowledge base considerably in a way that was enjoyable to her. My daughter’s love for music and the piano is back! How can I ever thank Dan enough for this incredible gift? Dan truly is a gifted teacher!

Our son is 13 now and has been learning piano from Dan for several years. We couldn't have found a better instructor. Dan is low key but direct and keeps the lessons fun. He gives great positive feedback and is genuinely interested in the kids he works with. You can see it during the recitals - the kids are relaxed and proud. The best part is our son has developed a love for playing and experimenting with his music. I'd highly recommend Dan as an instructor.

Tried several times to get in contact to even see if have openings for vocal lessons, as a professional musician with a tight schedule and need to better my singing ASAP, this was super discouraging, especially because read online and heard in person he's a decent teacher. Real neat stuff.

My daughters love their music lessons with Dan. My oldest has been taking guitar and vocal lessons for over 2 years and my youngest started taking piano last summer. Both have learned a lot from Dan and look forward to their lessons each week. He teaches them songs they are interested in. Dan always makes them feel comfortable, confident and engaged throughout the lessons.

My son has been taking piano lessons from Dan for more than 6 months now and we are so thankful for Dan's talent for teaching, patience and clarity with lessons, and positive outlook on performance. A fantastic asset to the Corvallis community.
