On the evening of 3/18/2023 I stopped by for some beverages and I experienced the rudest cashier ever. I contacted their customer service department and they are no help. In fact no one reached out to me. I highly recommend avoiding Space Age Fuel Stations especially the one located at 13488 SE Hwy 212 #8955, Clackamas, OR 97015 next to McDonald's.

Your fuel drivers are unsafe driving 70 plus and tailgating over an icy mountain! I would have gotten identifying markers off of the vehicle but I legally cannot catch up to him! 10:45 a.m. highway 26 through government camp second to February 2023.

I'm editing because I wrote my last review in the heat of the moment which wasn't fair. This company is overall a good place to work even tho I was terminated I still think it's a good place for employment. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is cause when I was terminated I should of been given some kind of discipline I.e suspension doc of pay or retrain but I guess that's just me.. Either way good company to work for.

Have an issue with a transaction here and get treated like you are being ridiculous, verbally abusive to the employees, and be called "disrespectful" several times by the manager (Brad) who obviously has zero training on how to speak to customers properly when resolving an issue before being asked to leave the store (after they have taken your money of course). Can anyone in Yelpland please let me know what the purpose of a receipt is? To my knowledge it is proof of a transaction just in case that transaction ever comes into question.  Specifically when fueling I never, ever leave the store without a receipt because it is truly one of the only transactions that we do in our everyday lives that the cashier can dishonestly or mistakenly pocket a couple dollars or the whole transaction if they choose to, not to mention if they enter the wrong pump, etc, etc.  Besides the fact that the manager was making and standing in mess of cardboard boxes over one side of the counter,  I step in line, unassuming me as happy as can be handing my hard earned dollars to a cashier at Space Age. Instead of opening the till the cashier lays the bill on top of the register.  Suspect, but as long as I get a receipt and since I always do wherever I go when paying cash I simply ask her for a receipt.  She tells me to go back to my car, wait for the gas station attendant to finish filling up my tank and then return for my receipt (in other words asking me to leave the store without proof of purchase).  I said in a firm tone that because I gave her cash that I needed the receipt before leaving the store.  Firm tone because you have my money in your possession without any evidence that I have given it to you.  She said we don't give receipts until the gas is pumped.  In return I try to explain why I need a receipt because I'm giving her cash and a receipt is proof of that transaction.  This is where the store manager Brad interjects and escalates the situation to an unnecessary level, asking me in a very angry tone, voice raising higher and higher throughout our conversation if he could help me with anything although it is apparent by his tone that he actually does not intend to help me with anything.  Even though Brad was standing right next to the cash register the entire time, knows exactly what I am asking, he makes me explain the situation. Believe me my firm tone begins to match his angry, raised voice because it is a simple request with perfectly logical reasoning behind it so either he is not listening or he just likes yelling at me.  I stated very clearly that all I need is a receipt.  He says the exact thing the cashier already told me which is to go outside, wait for the gas attendant to fill my tank and then return for a receipt.  In which I repeat what he already heard me say which is exactly why I need a receipt informing him and the cashier again that I do not want my money stolen from me so I need some sort of proof thal  By the way the cashier still has not put my money in the cash register.  Brad calls me disrespectful, that I need to wait outside then keeping his angry tone changes the dialogue and actually offers some sort of solution after he has already allowed the situation to escalate from bad to worse.  He suggests that I can wait in the store while the gas attendant fuels up and then get a receipt.  Hey now, there's an idea Brad, the idea doesn't allow me to make sure that my tank is actually being fueled until I start my car, but at least now you are thinking like a manager instead of just jumping to the conclusion that just because a customer who has a concern they must be wrong.  While waiting Brad continues antagonizing me making it seem like he had made that helpful solution all along. The gas attendant finishes fueling, the cashier bangs the receipt on the counter telling me I can go, somewhere in the conversation Brad calls me disrespectful several more times before telling me I need to leave the store while continuing to make a mess by throwing unused donut boxes around everywhere.  I ask for corporates number which I will post for Yelp in photos not that the area manager Chris will actually call you back to you in a timely manner.  And I was on my way.  All that trouble because I wanted proof of the fact that I had given money to Space Age.If you can forgive their lack of customer service, the fact that you won't be given a receipt as proof of giving them money when paying cash to fuel your vehicle then you will get gas that is 10-20 cents cheaper and some quick/cheap hot snacks from their heat lamp (they prepare the food in the morning, let it sit there all day if its not ordered, and won't make more of an item that is sold out but it is quick, hot, and cheap if you get there before they sell out) then Space  Age is your place and the only reason I don't give them 1 star.  Just hope you never have an issue here otherwise prepare to get harassed for doing what is right.

About
Krispy Krunchy Chicken

Krispy Krunchy Chicken (KKC), founded in Louisiana in 1989, is a quick-serve solution for convenience stores, truck stops, universities, casinos, and big box retailers across the U.S.  Every piece of our chicken and tenders is marinaded in a proprietary mix of mild but oh-so-flavorful spices, then double hand-breaded and fried to golden perfection. We serve it with the best sides around and most every order comes with a little bit of crowning glory – a freshly baked biscuit, generously drizzled with pure honey goodness.
