Horrible. I had a MRI on my knee. He said it was Significant arthritis and a pre-existing injury, which i have never had. I took my MRI to a real professional radiologist. I could'nt believe that Dr.Bell wasnt educated enough to know what he was looking at.

Dr. Bell is clearly knowledgeable but biased against people with a trauma history. If you have a trauma history, he may not be able to separate your trauma history from your present issue and say that your physical issue is because of your trauma. If an oncologist said that to me, and I had cancer, I would probably put the doctor squarely back in the privileged, condescending hole they crawled out of that morning. Since I went to Dr. Bell for atypical neuralgia diagnosed by two other neurologists when I lived in another state, I did more smiling and nodding. I also was prepared for his response because I read another review before my appointment where the woman stated Dr. Bell focused more on mental health than her present neurological complaint. Clearly, Dr. Bell's prestigious Mayo Clinic education did not teach him about how patients can have BOTH physical illness and PTSD. That being said, after I pointed out the full genome test that showed a collagen gene mutation in my DNA and some other legitimate tests like my skin biopsy done by another neurologist positive for small fiber neuropathy, Dr. Bell relented grudgingly and talked about an increase in anti seizure medicine prescribed by my primary to treat my pain.
I gave him a generous 3 stars because of his 'kind' demeanor. He is good at masking his condescension which I appreciated but saw through.
But, if you are emotionally raw from recent trauma, I definitely do not recommend this doctor. It took an immense amount of patience and good emotional self regulation and restraint to get through the appointment.

I went toDr Bell because I was having what thought was vertigo. I had been sick for about a month. Twice I had gone into ER and that is what everyone thought I had, but nothing ever got better. Finally I decided maybe I should go see a neurologist. I had seen Dr Bell before for another reason so got an appointment. He right away knew my problem, it was called, labyrinthitis. He, himself had it . It is caused by an infection in inner ear. Not much can be done for it. There is a shot one can get that goes in the ear. He got me in to a ear, nose and eye dr. A fellow dr friend. That was another story.
It all came down to nothing much could be done, but suffer it out with pills to make it easier.
I found Dr Bell to be very caring and went out of his way to help me. He was very professional and knowledgeable. One of the best and down to earth doctors I have ever met.
Its been a long haul, but I have gradually gotten better.
He also ran test to see if I had any problems that caused it to just come on.
I would recommend him in a heartbeat to anyone who needs neurologist.
Some of the reviews written about him dont sound like the Dr Bell I know.
He was patient caring going out of his way to help and I was able to discuss my problems with him with no problem. His staff was very helpful and caring as well.
