China Bay Restaurant & Lounge

Had a good portion of chicken; both sweet & sour and general tao. Overall a pretty average visit. I love their fish tank and decorations here.

Anyone who has written off China Bay needs to give it a second chance. The original owner, Casey, sold the restaurant about a year or year-and-a-half back. The food took a serious turn for the worse, and faithful customers jumped ship. The new owners couldn't make a go of it (no surprise there) and Casey recently bought China Bay back and it is now back to it's former glory -- thank goodness! Delicious entrees, toothsome appetizers, tasty soups . . . all are BACK! We dined there last night, and everything was excellent. As usual, Casey came by to talk to us -- something I find very agreeable -- and told us the story of the sale and repurchase. By the way, the name of the restaurant is now the NEW CHINA BAY reflecting the return to the original owner! So, go back. You'll be pleased. They've also added some popular Cantonese dishes to their already prolific menu, so there are some new things to try. We had the Shrimp in Tangy Tomato Sauce (I think that's the name of it), some Paper-Wrapped Chicken appetizers and shared a big bowl of Hot and Sour Soup. New China Bay stands, once again, as one of our favorite places to eat. We'll definitely go back.

I have been to this restaurant many times in the past with my family, and it honestly is the best place to have a Chinese dinner. Their dishes are excessively exquisite and tastes phenomenal. The interior of the joint is lovely with great paintings on the wall with nice, soothing music in the background. The service is adequate, some waiters/waitresses being better than others, but nothing terrible. I'll definitely be coming back to this place more often, and I hope you do the same.

Been living in Beaverton since June last year and trying to find a good Chinese food place since then. We went to this place last week and our search is finally over. The decor is awesome, a wonderful mural all along one wall, the back lit with Christmas lights, I loved it. The food was great, and tasty, I've had better fried rice but it was still best I've had in Beaverton. The service was amazing. We had a sweet Asian woman and she was all smiles and joking around and being attentive. Hands down the best customer service we've had since coming to Beaverton.
