The new fall detection necklace issued in the last 8 weeks through Samaritan Medical Alert, does not work. My aunt was told that the old ones were replaced because they were too sensitive. Do not waste your money on these necklaces. My grandmother has fallen 3 times with this necklace on and it has NOT worked. My aunt was told that it would work and tonight (9/13/21) someone came to my grandmother's house and told her care giver that it only works if you push the button.  I'm sorry but if someone falls and is unconscious, how are they supposed to push the button when it is supposed to work WITHOUT pushing the button?! Please do NOT waste your money on this device because it will not work and will get somebody killed. Please protect your loved ones and get a fall detection necklace that actually works from another company.
*EDIT*: The necklace was just thrown from about 7 feet in the air onto a hardwood floor and DID NOT detect a fall. The button was then pushed not once but TWICE before it connected to someone. The first time it was pushed, it was pushed hard and still didn't register. The second time it was pushed it had to be pushed twice as hard. This device will not help anyone!
