Lived here for a year - posting under a different name as I still reside and feel awkward leaving a review while an occupant. This complex is a mixed bag. The management and maintenance are great people, you're a short walk from campus, and you get quite a bit of space for the price. The negative side, however, is that you are giving up many quality of life features. For example, you aren't going to have a dishwasher, central heat or air, or in-unit laundry. Utilities are also all paid by the tenant (water, gas, electric). Also, the doors and some walls are pretty thin so be prepared to hear every neighbor in the stairway. I actually think my front door was a closet door, and if someone really wanted to they could've easily broken in through the extremely loose doorknob. With this being a complex with some older appliances or features, I ran into some issues. For example, my fridge went out within a week of moving in and needed repairs (and I lost quite a bit of food that I had just purchased because of it). I also have been without my window unit for a few months now. I had suspicion it wasn't working two months into my lease but they didn't believe me because it was 'pushing cold air' from outside in October. This isn't entirely their fault though, because the pandemic makes me want to avoid putting in a maintenance request and putting anyone at risk. Overall, you get what you pay for. I would honestly have much preferred being somewhere with better appliances. I should've been more adamant that my AC did need to be replaced, but you can't change the past. Staff is very friendly here and very responsive, with some living on the property, which is another perk.
