Average quality work, overpriced. I had him recondition and tune a piano. He charged nearly double the norm for just one tuning. He complained about how difficult it was to tune it because it was so out of tune, but the other tuner we hired finished the work within an hour and charged us normal price, saying it was a very simple job. Because Lee Jackson has been tuning for us for a few years, I wanted to believe that he wasn't a gouger and trusted him to "recondition" my piano. He came, and worked well for the first 30 minutes while I was watching him. Then, I went away and periodically peaked in. Half the time he was just looking at the keys, doing minute work such as removing a dust particle. After an "all days" work, he did the bare minimum work at unsatisfactory levels. My damper pedal was still loose, the damper keys were off time, and my piano was still not tuned well. I really questioned how much of the time he spent working, as it seemed he looked at my piano for at least half of the time. All my friends and piano teacher told me he gouged me, and I have since refused to call for his service.
On a side note, I created this email just to write review to maintain anonymity. Everything I said is what I perceive to be true.
