First Rate Appliance Repair

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! I strongly do not recommend this company. The repairman they sent out was 5 hours late to the appointment that we scheduled. He told us he was late as he was “pulled over for speeding” and had to “take care of” outstanding tickets before getting to our house. once he arrived, he took an hour to take apart the back of our refrigerator. He pulled a piece off and said it was the problem and needed to order a replacement part. He said it would arrive in 2 days and would call us when it arrived. Over the next 10 days, it was a long saga of excuses on why he still didn’t have the part. We were tired of being without a refrigerator and decided to get a second opinion. The second opinion stated there were multiple failures on the refrigerator and it would be in our best interest to get a new one. I called First Rate Repair on many occasions through this saga to notify them of the trouble. They always said that the manager would call us back to further discuss. We never heard from anyone. I requested to get my money back for the “diagnosis fee” but since the manager never called back, we couldn’t ever get any further with the complaint. It was a terrible experience. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!

After trying to get information over the phone the First Rate rep was very rude and hung up on me. I was able to find out that they could come and do a diagnostic the very next day which was great. Only problem was....I wasn't going to be home that day and I explained that. So why hang up on me? Why not try and arrange an appointment for a different day? We all have bad days but they lost this customer.
