RadioShack

I went this evening to this RadioShack in Broken Arrow for a power cord for a battery charger. After asking the main cashier where to find the item, he pointed me to a wrong display, saying he'd be over to help momentarily after helping his current customer. Well, in the meantime I found the cord myself in a nearby display and went to pay. After being promised the Price Match Guarantee with Amazon by phone, I scanned the UPC on the power cord at RadioShack with my phone's Amazon app to demonstrate an exact match. The cashier apparently lacked the training to complete the price match himself but decided to enter a 35% off coupon code that brought the price down to virtually the same. However, he still needed to ask his assistant manager on duty, Sarah, for help. She was outside having a smoke break, and when she came back in, she was on the phone apparently with her store manager and reeked of cigarette. Sarah refused the price match altogether, stating that I had to have a copy of the ad to leave with her! I screen-captured the Amazon ad for the reduced price and even offered to email it to her so it could be printed. She still refused! Get with the times, RadioShack: most people shop online and have electronic versions of advertisements, not paper circulars. I find it completely UNPROFESSIONAL to be told one piece of information by phone and then refused in person by an incompetent asst manager to honor the price match. People with such poor customer service skills do not deserve to work in customer service, let alone have managerial positions. I wasted my time and gas to drive to this RadioShack under false pretenses. I will now buy on Amazon itself and wait for delivery, which I had hoped to avoid with the promise of Price Match from RadioShack. Customer beware, this store does not stand behind its verbal promises. Sarah should be disciplined for her poor unhelpful attitude, failure to honor verbal promises and store policy, and her terrible hygiene, reeking of cigarette in front of customers.

Great Customer service every time I come in this store. Melissa the manager is very knowledgeable and friendly. I will send my friends back in this store for sure!
