On May 16, a cleaning service completed a move out cleaning of my home. My realtor showed my home to clients, then suggested I have the carpets steam cleaned. I contacted Lorin to discuss the cleaning, and arranged for my realtor to meet him on Friday May 22 at 1:00 to review and give me an estimate. He did not show or call until I text him after 1:00 to find out where he was. He called with car trouble and we decided that he could meet my brother and sister in law on Saturday May 23. He met them, then contacted me with a $250 estimate to steam clean and deodorize my carpets. He called back a mentioned seeing a couple of “brown bugs” and asked if there had been any animals in the home. There HAVE NOT been any animals in my house for the nearly seven years I lived there. He shrugged it off and we arranged for him to meet with my realtor on Wednesday May 27 at 9:45 to steam clean the carpets. At roughly 9:00 I text Lorin and asked if he was going to make it at 9:45, he said “ Yes getting ready to head that way , I have a guy that’s around the corner from there I’ll have him there before me I live 20 mins away” I informed my realtor and waited for word of completion. Around 11:00 he sent me a photo of what appeared to be a giant ball of hangers, a water bottle, a stick and some dirt, and he said “ What this is We had to dump my vacuum out 6 times to get all the dust out of the carpet the carpet was very full of dust , I’ll need 15.00 for the extra vacuuming will that be ok?” I was skeptical seeing as how I had reviewed the photos after the house cleaning service had vacuumed, but I agreed. He sent the invoice via email, I paid the bill in full through PayPal. June 1 my realtor texts me, “ Just showed the house and the client and myself just got attacked by fleas.. did you even have animals in the house?“ Again, I NEVER had animals in my house. I asked my realtor about a good pest control and arranged treatment, then asked if the carpets looked better since the deep cleaning... he said “ They looked vacuumed but they don’t look like they’ve been deep cleaned”. I sent Lorin a message letting him know about the fleas and that it doesn’t appear as though the floors were steam cleaned on June1. He called me soon after very aggressive and insisted that I had animals in the house, NEVER, and defensively talking over me, telling me that if I try to sue him, I will lose, until he just hung up. My sister in law emailed him, but he never responded. I don’t know what happened, but I know there weren’t fleas in my house prior to his visit. On the 23rd, he was there with my brother and sister in law, and they didn’t find any fleas. On May 26th my realtor showed the house and there weren’t any fleas then either.
