New Beginnings Residential

As a former employee of New Beginnings, I saw many lives change for the better. I saw broken children enter, but leave healed from traumatic past events. The staff at New Beginnings believe in providing the young adults that are placed there with opportunities that will help them. This includes caring, professional, licensed and degreed clinical staff. Above State-required trained Behavior Care Staff, the ability to take school classes with licensed teachers, in a maintained large facility. I am grateful for such a place. They are assisting to heal our next generation of leaders.

My kid has sustained broken bones, head injuries, memory loss, stolen items repeatedly, fights with others defending himself, and there’s no heat in the dead of winter. He’s sick and not allowed vaporub because it’s not prescribed. They have indoor doors where the exterior doors should be, as if that’s not a red flag. They care for kids but the kids don’t even have a playground, massive parking lot with random parking beams is their playground. They’re fed processed garbage for every meal, but they can’t provide art supplies, or HEAT, and it takes 4 days to see a doctor for a concussion. This place needs shut down, but majoring county children’s services says New beginnings at 100 broadway in Youngstown is not in their jurisdiction. Seems like their secret entity spreads everywhere. Parents are told by the director, they’re not allowed to see credentials of the staff caring for the kids. Looks like new beginnings hires convicted felons, if not child predators. Some of the staff are peculiar and give off predator vibes. But their criminal history is not my business. They’re only unsupervised around my child and i have no say, even with full custody. This facility is for therapy but they only get one hour of treatment a day. The facility also has a blanket of 15 months from the states payments per child, no matter why they are there, this is a drain on state funds and harming generations of children in the process. Shut it down!

I was here in 2019 against my will, 15-16 years old at the time. I was wrongfully admitted and I still have PTSD night terrors about this place. I remember an autistic child who had his arm broken by a staff member towards the end of my stay, Ive heard stories of molestation on the random occasion, we had our human rights violated daily I believe. I may have some okay memories but the trauma outnumbered all of them hands down. Shut this place down!!!!

My experience here has been great! Working with great people and theres a great support system. I love working with the Residents, its so rewarding. I would recommend working here anytime.
