Johnson & Dolesch Accountant

Johnson and Dolesch accountants are the epitome of professionalism. Throughout the past few months of working with them, they have consistently been available to answer all of my questions related to my accounting, and tax needs. Furthermore, when I did file my taxes, the process was smooth, efficient, hassle-free, and affordable. I have full confidence in them, and would absolutely recommend them to anyone considering using them to file their taxes.

Dropped off my personal taxes, and my fiancé dropped off his business taxes. We tried to get a face to face since we are a new company and had many questions, but we just had to drop them off. Left instructions for them to place our daughter on whosevers taxes benefitted the most. My personal taxes were completed by the end of February. (Although I have yet to get my taxes back direct deposit and its now mid April. Not sure if something wasn't done right since you cant get through to the IRS.) But when I contacted them to check on the business taxes, I was told "it'll be done when its done." When I asked about how to get a sit down appointment, I was told "I just have to come back year and year, they have clients who have been coming to them for 40+ years who come first." While I do not find that to be an appropriate answer, seeing as it didn't answer anything, I continued to wait. Now they did let us know they were going to be starting on the business taxes, weeks went by and when we would call, they still had no answers for us. So finally I decided I was going to pick up my taxes and take them somewhere else. I called to let them know I would be stopping by to pick up my things. So when I showed up, they stated that what I had given them was all copies and therefor they would not return them........ REALLY. (I made all the copies at home, my printer, my ink, my paper. The only copy they made, was of my drivers license.) So wasted gas driving up there, and then they wouldn't even give me MY COPIES that I gave to them. So I take my taxes to another CPA, where we did get a face to face. First thing he said to us, was, why our daughter wasn't on my taxes. Due to covid we took a huge loss and showed no profit, he saw that within 10 mins. So he knew right off rip that we would benefit more having her on my taxes, we would get the most back. In order to add her now I'd have to amend my personal taxes that were already completed and it would cost more than it did the first time around. So now I'm mad, so I email Johnson and Dolesch to see why they wouldn't have done that in the first place. Well I received an email back stating they didn't know the business income at that time, and had they completed the business income and seen that our daughter should have been on my personal, they would have amended it at no cost. They offered no help. Another CPA could see the income in 10 mins, but they had the business taxes for months, (working on them for weeks) and couldn't tell what time income was. I would not recommend anyone to use them unless you have absolutely no questions, easy taxes.

Johnson & Dolesch in Wellington did awesome with my small business taxes and accounting through 2019! I will definitely continue to use them going forward. They are super timely in answering questions via email. If they arent 120% sure of their answer they tell you that and go find out for certain rather than just winging it. Super appreciated! If you're looking for an accountant for year round, or just to file your taxes, I highly recommend them!
