From Bowshier Tax Service. During the pandemic in 2021 we followed protocol and did everything remotely. We also had two family members battling cancer and did not wish to expose them to any illness. We did not have any sit down appointments. Out of all our clients we had two that complained. One, who posted here, was very disrespectful on the phone and had our staff crying. While we tried to explain he could still drop off documents, he was not having any part of it and kept berating our staff for an appointment. After continuing harassments we finally blocked his number. So sad some people only care for themselves and what they want, and not the well being of others. But we wish him the best.

Bill Bowshier's son (Recinda) picked up many of Bill's clients after he passed. Recinda & his wife run their own tax prep buisness outside Urbana very differently. Unfortunately, the gatekeeper is his wife. She is rude (at best) and tells loyal customers to go somewhere else if they want to meet/talk with/prepare taxes in person, Who thinks it is ok to talk to loyal customers like that? She presents as a very miserable unhappy person and is consistently abrasive in her interactions. She is not customer focused. Bottom line- Neither is willing to make Any modifications in their buisness practices. They will Not take any COVID in person precautions. Successful business's have adapted to COVID. Handsanitizer, clear barrier walls, Masks, cleaning between customers,etc.It's a little bit more work, not too much extra cost involved They are not willing to adapt to the current environment! It's just being inflexible and lazy. Very sad to say. The best thing Recinda could do is get his wife out of the buisness! She should not be the gatekeeper or have customer interaction. I deserve better and you do to!

They've been doing my taxes since I've been 18 since I was old enough to file to be honest and they had done a great job they have got everything done in a very good timely fashion I love their work I recommend if you want to get your taxes done and you want it done right and everything you go through them
