After reading other reviews, I decided to try this restaurant while on a trip to the Akron area. I was immediately greeted and given my choice of seating and chose one of several booths. A menu was quickly provided and I was asked about my drink preference. I only had water, which came with a lemon wedge and straw, but they have wine and drinks as well. The specials were announced and I was given a proper amount of time to consider. Discussing the seafood, steak and ribs choices with my waitress led me to choose the seafood special - scallops and scrod with a basil pasta. A side salad with the white french dressing came ahead of the main entree along with two petite warm garlic toasts. The salad and dressing were very good, along with the toasts I got my garlic amount for the day! Then the entree arrived. A nice presentation, scallops on one side, scod (from Iceland I was told) on the other with the delicate spaghetti basel pasta in the center, with a cup of drawn butter at the top. The scallops quite large and were perfectly seared. They cut nicely and were very tasty and richly filling. The pasta was the right firmness and the finely-cut basil mixed in was not overpowering. The scrod was scrumptious! It's filet is firmer than tilapia and a bit of seasoning brought out it's mild taste. A really really good meal in a nice cozy atmosphere. I saw the ribs come out, they were large portions with a savory smell. Other diners stopped at the kitchen to thank Chef Joseph on their way out, and locals I talked to while leaving said they ate there as often as possible. All in all, I recommend this place and the family-run atmosphere and I will visit again when I am in the area!

Don't listen to the poor reviews this place is the best! We love the atmosphere, the friendly service, and the FRESH food. Yes since it is fresh sometimes the specials etc are sold out but its worth it to eat fresh food. We come here regularly and enjoy it every time. Whoever wrote the previous review obviously was fired and was not being truthful.
