Kettering Health Medical Group Orthopedics & Sports Medicine - Springfield Health Center

With all the horrible reviews, I was wondering how they have a 3.5 star rating until I looked further and noticed the good reviews were from 2 yrs ago which is interesting since the hospital has only been open less than 6 months. So they use reviews from other Kettering hospitals, which usually are very good except for Soin, to try to up their review score. UPDATE: Yesterday my elderly mother went to the ER with severe pain and a serious kidney infection. After 2 hours they sent her home. No instructions, very very ill. I had to call 911 this morning at 4 am because she came very close to death. They should have never sent her home as sick as she was. I had the ambulance take her to Springfield Medical Center where they promptly admitted her and made her comfortable while they work to tackle this infection. Kettering had the nerve to call her cell phone and reprimand her for going to SMC instead of going back to them. Why in the world would she go back there for them to just send her home? I had hoped that my horrible experience with this new hospital was a one of but apparently, the ER Dept physicians have no clue what they're doing and really don't care one bit about the patients. It's all about bringing revenue not healthcare. I will tell everyone I know to never take a family member to this horrible hospital! Nurses were great! Very friendly and attentive. X-rays and CT scan results were very fast. The only thing that I wasn't impressed with was the doctor. While he did order X-rays and scan, he never actually examined me the entire time I was there for a fall on my hip and was more focused on wanting to order unnecessary labs and tests that had nothing at all to do with my injury. When I politely refused as I didn't feel it necessary and that a cbc had zero to with why I was there he got annoyed and immediately discharged me and only issued me crutches when the nurse told him I couldn't walk and needed some way to get around while I healed. Doctors now are like the car salesman that wants to sell you undercoating and blinker signal warranties. Once they realize you aren't going to allow ridiculous charges, they have no use for you. But again, the nurses and the SFD medics that brought me there were amazing. The only physical exam of my injury was done by the SFD medics in the ambulance. Would have been a 5 star review if there had been a decent doctor on shift.

Was there six hrs did even see a nurse for over an hour qas told she was at lunch..finally after 2hrs she came on asked if seen dr replied no and this was good..said shewould go see where he was..long story short after 5hrs he came in got pain meds..wanted him Togo to soin to b3 admitted but said he didn't have to..when he told Jim he had a dr appointment on Tues made him an ama..

Long wait. Left after 6 hours still sick as I was when brought in. The doctors and nurses are overworked and they were severely understaffed for the evening on a weekend. Still not well 2 days later and can't get a medication that I'm not allergic to.

Would be a five but with all the bruises on me I had to take one away. Everyone was nice and seem like they were trying
