Working out the care details for my brother. Things are getting a better start. Past experiences needs to have proven change. I am hopeful and grateful for the effort being made. Continuity of care will be the real test. ~Its important to point out that if your loved one requires short or long term care that you must be their well involved advocate. Unfortunately, for patients who require more attention and in-depth care.they easily can be attended to last or left with improper care due to unskilled or under staffing. This can leave patients vulnerable for ulcerative wounds. Once a person acquires wounds; their level of care requires constant attention. Patients who need rotated due to being bed ridden are most vulnerable. ~To be fair, Its easy as a relative to walk in and pass judgment. There are no simple answers. The best ones I have found: is the more involved in the care plan you are, and the more visits your loved one receives.the continuity of overall care will be received. ~Its naturally first the family & friends duty to stay involved and show their continued love & support. Most often this is the first fault. ~Nurse Aides I feel bare the biggest load with the least amount of pay.this needs to change. Its a tough job, both mentally & physically. Most are there for the love of the people and for the impact they make daily. ~Thank You for all do you. May God help us to reach out and serve instead of always looking to self. January 16, 2024 So I have to put a follow up to what I wrote a year ago. Due to Ayden of Oregon, my brother suffered with bed wounds equaling the size of both buttocks. The important thing to note, he was being seen by a wound Doctor weekly. On August 14, 2023, I came to visit my brother, just as they were beginning to change his wounds. He had been put in a room isolated due to some virus. Upon arriving to the room, you could smell the stench outside of the room from his wounds. When I saw the wounds, I went immediately and got the ADN. He was supposed to have been seen the next day by the wound doctor, but I called in the morning and told him, just to go to the hospital. My brother is WBC was 37 count, it should be 10, he was also septic. We are now five months later, and he still suffering from those wounds. Having to be back-and-forth from the hospital. I can tell you this unless your family member is able to move about themselves, feed themselves easily, go to the bathroom on their own. Do not send them here. While there are some staff who truly care. They are outnumbered by people who lie and seek to deceive you for the sake of their own job. Its truly beyond me how staff members see negligence and dont report it themselves. My God have his judgment upon all those who are involved. I feel sorry for those who suffer at their hands. People please be involved in the lives of your families who are in nursing homes, that is the only thing that will make a difference.

Do NOT put your love ones here, OR yourself. This place is filthy .. it's a joke. No staff anywhere no matter what time, they leave patients without. Director of nurses does NOTHING. This place needs shut down and all the staff needs reported and replaced.

worst experience I have ever had my sister-in-law was put into this facility after her brain surgery, she couldnt talk, and had a little mobility to her left side. Give her a dry erase clipboard. So she could write on cause she couldn't talk gave her a dry erase marker that didnt work. When I to ask them for a new one. They said that they dont have any and thats the only way she could, communicate twice I have been in her room and her call Light was unplugged from the wall She was in a room all by herself. They put her in a room all the way down the hallway away from the nurses station until I told them that she needed to move closer to the nurses station after her first fall but with her being right next to the nurse station she still was not taking care of cause if she was she would of never fell twice with this facility is a non-restraint, so if they fall they would just fall smh every time we would go check she had used the bathroom on her self and when I asked her to be changed, they would say shes going to have to wait until they can get somebody to do it. So I would do it my self because She should not be sitting in feces, She had fell twice in that facility. The last fall was the last straw had them call an ambulance take her to the ER because she had hit her head and was scared that she was going to get a bleeding in the brain again she is currently in the hospital and has a UTI. Her catheter had not been changed. since she was in the hospital in July.2023 had to tell them multiple times to empty her catheter bag cause it was always full her blood pressure was very low Her feeding bag would never have the time stamp and date of when her food was placed. Just a very bad experience and not equipped for people that have that disability I do not recommend this facility for no family members of your love ones due to my family was not taken care of her needs worst experience I have ever had. there so if your family there make sure you keep a eye open and listen to your family member if they tell you the are not getting taking care of right cause mine family member was not they need to take care of they patients, as if it was one of their love ones in there or even if it was their self in their shoes would you want to be treated like that cause I know I wouldnt especially if you cant do for yourself, you would hope and pray that you would get nurses or doctors that would think that way but no in my experience, my family member was neglected
