After years of lower back pain, lumbar fusion and multiple injections at another facility, I was referred to the CCPM of Toledo. During my initial consultation with Dr. Alexander Escobar, he felt that the source of my pain was the S1 joint. This was a new diagnosis for me! With injections, I finally did have some relief, but only for brief periods of time. In March, 2020, Dr Escobar discussed a new option, an S1 joint fusion, with me and we decided to schedule the surgery, but COVID delayed it until June, 2020. It has been 3 months since the fusion and my pain level has decreased from highs of 9-10 to levels 2-3! I'm so thankful that Dr Escobar has the knowledge and skills to perform an S1 fusion. Dr. Escobar is always such a kind, caring, compassionate and positive physician. I'm so grateful to be his patient. Age is no barrier to him...at 76, thanks to Dr Escobar and his amazing staff, I'm at a good place. I'm active and enjoying my life with my family and being involved with my grandchildren and their busy lives!
