Hampton Inn Newcomerstown

This Hampton Inn is right off of I77 in Newcomerstown, OH. The staff is friendly and always willing to help or make your stay better. The rooms are a bit outdated and could use a remodel especially the bathrooms. They did have hot breakfast and it was what you would expect. I stayed over 10 nights here and it gets pretty crowded on the weekends and can be a bit noisy. Overall not a bad hotel I would stay here again for business.

When this hotel was called the Hampton it was great. Since they changed the name to Garden Inn, it is no longer the same great place. They got 2 stars because they were still very nice and friendly and they were still very clean. They lost a star for telling us on the phone that the stay would be 99 dollars but when they changed us after the stay it was 134 dollars. They never sent us an email confirmation either. They lost another star for us getting a hotel room with beds that felt like our heads were sleeping downhill and were so noisy and creaky if we had neighbors we probably kept them awake for our tossing and turning. The third star was lost for the taste of the coffee. I get covid is going on and they have to get you your coffee, but it tasted like it came out of a mildew filled Keurig. They could still make pots of coffee that are freshly brewed, like they used to when they were Hampton and make it in front of you instead of behind an office door. But they were still very friendly and very clean.

Like home away from home friendly courteous staff willing to go out of their way for you. Large comfortable rooms with nice decor. Plenty of areas to plug in your devices. Free basic Wi-Fi AAA Plus

A few months ago we stayed at the Hampton for a few days. Due to COVID there were not many amenities, which was understandable but the rooms were clean. Unfortunately, I forgot a personal pillow behind that I need for medical reasons from a past broken bone. I called 4 separate times to try to get the pillow shipped to me. Every time I was told they would take care of it and I gave my phone #, address, and credit card information for the shipping charges. I never got my pillow back, even after speaking to the general manager. I understand this was my fault but when I as a customer am promised that something will be attended to, it should be honored. We will likely return to this hotel but let this serve as a warning to future guests to triple check you have grabbed all your belongings!
