Las Penas Mexican Grocery & Restaurant

I've been in the store a couple of times however I waited to try the food before I compiled my review. I love everything about this place honestly. Its clean, no flashy nonsense, no noisy bar. Just a take out counter, a friendly woman and a paper menu. They spoke enough English they made it easy to understand the food and the order, and even if they didn't It wouldn't bother me. We ordered some tacos. I had a couple steak tacos and I tried a beef tongue taco. The brought out chips and had three different salsas. The food is outstanding and the prices are good. On the way out I picked up some chilis for something I was cooking at home. Total was $33, and I threw in a fiver for a tip. No frills, great food, a simple quiet meal amongst friendly people. Its a grand slam.

They make some great tacos. I went here a few times and was really happy with the tacos I got everytime. The staff is friendly and all of the food is a great price.
