Dickey's Barbecue Pit

My husband was in there for 10 min trying to get some help. Our food was not ready like the text I received said it was. They need to do better.

i dont know if i just got a bum order, but Lt was clearly not was I was expecting didnt Taste all that great and roll was hard. also, out of corn for a side. I come here because the corn was advertised. is corn going out of stock

I KNOW it is hard to find help right now but WOW! I had the worst and strangest service here. There were 2 children (a boy and a girl) and my visit was surreal. When I ordered a slider the girl said they were not ready yet and started preparing them, I guess. I went to the register and paid the boy. He gave us our cups so we could get our drinks. We filled our cups and returned to the register and…. They were gone. Gone. There was a bag of food there. But I figured we were waiting for whatever the girl had been preparing. So we waited… and waited… I called for them… nothing. No one. So I looked in the bag.. there was food missing. So now I am trying to peer into the back. Yelling “hello”? Finally they return looking strange. I explain that I am missing food. They seemed very confused. So I took everything out of the bag and they seemed to understand. And got me the rest of my food. No apologies, no explanation of where they were. I finally asked if they were getting high back there, they seemed shocked at the question. (My husband thinks they were making out.). It was just surreal. By then end I thought maybe I was the one high. (And despite all that I still didn’t get the BBQ sauce!) And like everyone else said, the food was good but the portion size… TINY. Maybe that is the store policy or maybe it is just the untrained kids.

Wife and I wanted BBQ and we picked Dickeys because it was the nearest place. Boy we should have gone somewhere else! Worst experience ever. Walked in and no one even acknowledged that I was there until I said something and even when I did the people behind the counter acted like they couldn’t even be bothered by my presence. Then we got the food. I wouldn’t even give my dogs that slip they called brisket. Asked for sliced and received “chopped” which look like some animal just bit it over and over again and a big heaping pile of fat on it. So like 90% fat 10% dog meat and that’s the nicest I can say about it. At the door there was a sign posted “Cash only” and when I asked for a receipt the worker said “ you don’t get a receipt because you paid cash.” Something seems wrong there. Overall, this Mentor location needs to be fixed. It’s going downhill fast.
