Terry Maples: Allstate Insurance

I had a tree fall on my house and create some damage to the roof and gutter. I called my insurance company, only to be forwarded to the 800 phone tree. I spoke with a claims adjuster, and scheduled an inspection. When the inspection was complete, my adjuster called me back from wherever they were located, not local. I expressed my concerns and uneasiness I felt as I have never filed a claim on my house before. They sent me money, not nearly enough to complete the job of fixing my house, saying this was not the final payment, and my roofing company is just trying to get me a new roof even though they think patching is the better idea. Now I am looking at having different colored shingles and gutters that dont match. I called my local agent to discuss my displeasure. Didnt ever get to speak with my agent directly, and was told that once I enter the claims process they could not do anything to help me. It has been over a month since the tree fell on my house, a tarp now covers the damage, and the gutter is still hanging off my house. No call, no letter, no follow up. Where are my premiums going. Truly displeased and once things are settled, I am in the market for an insurance company that will stand by their word and assist me when bad things happen.

Each time I call your agency for a need (so far had 3 experience) .. no one picks the call .. and call is dropped automatically.. And each time I make minimum 2-3 attempts. Eventually I end up calling Allstate corporate .. what use is a agency in the neighborhood if they cannot answer customer calls?
