BentCreek Cabins: Blue Jay

We absolutely loved the cabin! Just big enough for 2. The only thing I would suggest since there is absolutely no cell service, is to add a landline just in case of emergency. Loved the pond and the peacefulness it provided!

My wife and I stayed a weekend in March and just got lucky to find this place. It had everything we wanted (fireplace, hot tub, porch, kitchen, rocking chairs, outdoor firepit, comfy bed, etc). This was the cleanest, best-maintained place I have ever stayed. Nothing is broken, dingy, or otherwise neglected. The location is ideal for access to the parks and nearby towns. The Cabin offers plenty of beautiful scenery and privacy. I enjoyed not having wifi and cell service for a few days. If we needed to use our phones, it was easy to get a signal just a few minutes up the road. The owners were super friendly and helpful and made some great recommendations about the area. I recommend making sure you bring some books, games, or DVDs just in case. There is a small selection already down there but they may not fit your mood. We didn't pack any food to cook, but next time we would and take advantage of the full kitchen and grill. Otherwise, all you need are the clothes on your back (and maybe a toothbrush) to have a fun and relaxing weekend here. We will definitely be back.
