I just can't say enough about this business. I contacted the Lake County OH location and received a quote in a very timely manner following a prompt on site visit. The job was started on time. There are no short cuts with these folks. The attention to detail was extremely satisfying, and honestly, unexpected. I now realize what I had been sacrificing with previous companies. I can't see myself using any other company in the future.

I had used deck rescue years ago when I first bought my house in 2015 and they did a wonderful job. Professional and it looked amazing lasted a really long time too. Fast forward to May 2020 I called them again and was contacted by Gary Young who said he had my information in the system and they were super busy but he could do the quote because he could see my previous job and the information was in the system. In addition I recommended him to my neighbor. Poor communication and follow up and it took me two times to get the quote emailed to me. Finally did in June and it was a good price and he could get me on the schedule sometime in Mid to late August. It is now late August and never heard from them so called and he said we were still on the schedule. Then calls me to say when he was next door to my neighbor he wanted to come measure my deck again because he did not believe it was correct. Comes out tonight to tell me that the measurements and what they did before was completely wrong and now it is THREE times the quote! How completely unprofessional and I waited the entire summer for them to come out. I would have gone with someone else had I known. Will NEVER use them or refer them again and I am a real estate agent and if they can't keep their word then I cannot refer them again. UPDATE TO REPLY TO THEIR RESPONSE: I could have left it at this if their response didn't tell so many tales. While it is true that it was in fact June 2nd or 3rd the first time I called them, not late May as I intially rembered, Gary called me back that night and said they were super busy and swamped when I asked them to come out for an estimate. When he told me that he would be using what was in the system I asked him if it was because of Covid. He said it was because they were so busy that they were booked the whole summer because people being home as a result of covid they all wanted their deck done. Using covid safety as an excuse not to come out to do the estimate is ridiculous, you are not coming into my house you are coming outside to measure and well as your workers haven't slowed down since you were so busy. You chose to use what was in your system when I asked you to come out. You asked me to wait until mid to late August to do the work. My deck is in fact the size of 360 square feet but it has seating all around it and three larger steps down. The same as last time clearly the previous owner used size alone. What you should have done was taken into account the errors that were a result of your lack of follow through and said can we meet in the middle. Something instead of sorry I relied upon the files of the franchise I bought instead of coming out as you requested and made you wait until the entire summer is over but our price is our price. Also Gary did promise the quote within 48 hours it did not arrive so after a week I left a message that I had not received it. Then when another 2 days had passed I went into my junk mail and saw your quote from 2 days ago after I called requesting where it was. The Estimate is dated June 12, 2020 the day I called. After waiting the entire summer to be contacted to be put on the schedule I reached out late August to request why I had not been contacted. He called back to say I was still on the schedule but more likely the first week of September. It was unprofessional how you handled your business and when you make mistakes at no fault of the customer you should try to work with that customer to come to a compromise. Small business or not, Covid or not.
