This is not a correct description of what happened. Upon receipt of the customer's order, Medical Resources was told by the manufacturer that the vaccine refrigerator would be ready for shipping in 2 weeks. The customer wanted the refrigerator delivered via a white glove service so he wouldn’t have to unload the truck himself. The white glove delivery service attempted pickup of the refrigerator during week two but the manufacturer turned the driver away because most of their dock workers had covid and had shut down the dock for a week as a result. There was a long delay before the white glove delivery service actually re-scheduled the pickup of the unit due to the dock being shut down as well as miscommunications and staffing shortages within the white glove delivery service team. The white glove service also failed to timely update Medical Resources on these delays. Once we were made aware of such delays, the salesperson for Medical Resources updated the customer on the situation and confirmed that the customer wanted to stay with the white glove even though a dock delivery option would be quicker. Unfortunately, the white glove delivery service notified Medical Resources only 24 hours before the customer's deadline to state that they could not meet the customer's deadline By then, there were no other delivery options available to get the refrigerator to the customer in time. The best we could do was to deliver it within 3 business days after such deadline. The salesperson notified the customer of this and he demanded a refund immediately or he would sue the company. The customer was refunded on that same day. The salesperson called the customer to confirm he received the refund and apologized for the issues with the White Glove service.
