This place was like something out of a horror film for me. I was here for years. I try very hard to forget about my experience in The Buckeye Ranchs residential program. I feel like I need to speak up about my personal experiences and things I had to witness while in this facility, Id like to prevent any child from going through what I had to endure. I also would like to point out that there are many other ways to help your children without sending them away, if you do please take into consideration that they may leave this place with more issues and more trauma than they had to begin with. Just top 5 experiences I had to live through 1. Molested by another patient there 2. Witnessed staff abusing another patient 3. Witnessed many very brutal suicide attempts 4. Was jumped and attacked by other patients 5. Privacy did not exist, yes your minor child will be repeatedly strip searched in front of multiple adult staff its a requirement, I was even watched while showering. Theres so many more things wrong with this place and because of it Ill never fully be ok again, you truly lose all sense of dignity in this place. Have more questions reach out. I worked here a couple of months ago. This place is an absolute joke. I went through the orientation and thought it was going to be an amazing place and it seemed like they actually cared. I was so wrong. The next week when we actually got placed into houses, everything was not how they portrayed it to be. The techs in the house made me feel uncomfortable and would laugh at the kids and make fun of them behind their back constantly. They did not practice what they preached. They did everything that I was told not to do in my orientation such as bringing in outside food and eating it right in front of the kids knowing they cant have it. The next week I dropped off my keys and never came back and Im so glad. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEM!
