Peppy's Pizza & Subs

Best pizza I've ever had. Nice thin crust. Lots'o toppings. Awesome sauce. Usually accurate order got messed up. Because the person taking my order didn't know their menu. The women running the shift replace the incorrect pizza, but refuse to remake the other two and said she'd keep them in the warmer. Despite my objection. Sure enough it wasn't the same as fresh. Very disappointed. Don't go unless the owner is there. The "B" crew doesn't care.

I am on a mission to try every local pizza shop (Knox county), and beyond, searching for the best mom and pop pizza, I can find... Seems I probably won't have to look to far beyond Peppys, as it's been the front runner for many years. Always a pleasant experience. Quick and efficient staff, friendly, and the absolute best pizza! Great for take out, or dine-in! Typically takes 30minutes or less, inside is very clean and pays homage to the community sports, and high school. There is ample seating, which you cannot find in many local shops, that gives you the opportunity to eat inside comfortably. Prices are reasonable and in line with most pizza places. Just a great hometown pizza joint with the best atmosphere, service, food, and prices. Highly recommend!
