He went out of his way to make sure I was taking care off. He battle the case and studied every move to make sure we win the case.. he is my first guy to come to.. it took long due to covid.... but he was on the case at all times..Thank you Scott, you saved me from a nightmare!

SCAMMER!!! I needed a divorce attorney and my best friend referred me to Smith, Illner & Gemelas. THIS IS NOT HIM!! Going thru a divorce has been very difficult and I finally googled the name and made the call. A man answered Attorney Smith can I help you? I knew it was odd he answered directly and not a secretary. I then asked is this Smith, Illner & Gemelas? He replied how can I help you. So i explained as much as i could before he said I have another call hold and left me there. He comes back on and says I'm back. I proceed to address myself and I can hear him talking in the background loudly to someone while I'm speaking. Now he was referred or so I thought so I kept speaking. He again tells me he has another call and to hold. This time he hangs up. He calls me back and I'm in tears. The caller ID looked funny and he then tells me he takes any payment and how much do I have in my account I said I need to think about this for a few days as now I'm very concerned about his professionalism and lack of communication skills. He says if you have $500.00 we can meet this afternoon and get everything started. I said no I'm going to need a few days and I'm sorry but I have to go. Then he tells me to give him my cc info and he will charge $200.00 and he will take the case as then charge me $1,500 the next week. I hung up immediately concerned with the actions of this man. I called my friend and told her about what had happened. She immediately asked for his number and calls the actual legal firm Smith, Illner and Gemelas. He IS NOT WITH THIS FIRM. AFTER SOME RESEARCH HE IS A VERY BAD ATTORNEY WHO TAKES ANY AMOUNT YOU SAY YOU HAVE TO GET YOUR CASE THEN WILL DO NOTHING AFTER HE RECEIVES PAYMENTS. HE TRIED TO PASS HIMSELF OFF AS A REPUTABLE FIRM BUT IS MOST CERTAINLY NOT!!! BE CAREFUL OF THIS GUY AND MAKE SURE YOU DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE HANDING HIM ANY MONEY!!!

Scott is an amazing attorney. He charged me nothing for domestic violence. He came to me; we took care of everything. Great guy!
