This had to have been the most unsympathetic and unprofessional insurance agency through Allstate I’ve ever experienced. My husband and I bought a house in October of 2020. During that initial move in, a representative for Allstate did a 2 minute walk around the property and left. She didn’t have any concerns, or express anything to us during her walkthrough. Allstate insured our home, along with our vehicles and we went on about our life. Fast forward to just this past mid-August of 2021 (about 11 months later) I get a call from Allstate asking if we fixed the crack in our front window of the house. I was confused why they were asking, but I told them not yet. We spent the last 10 months renovating our home, and at this point I’m also 8 months pregnant and we just didn’t get to the cracked window yet because it wasn’t open glass, or causing any heating or cooling issues. But— I’m confused as to why they’re asking anyways and the woman explains that we have nearly 30 days to fix it or they’re dropping our home insurance. Mind you, no one told us anything last year about needing a window fixed, and if they did, we would have made it more of a priority. My husband and I tried everything we could with such little time to get our window fixed, but in a pandemic where labor and costs of goods are abnormal, we couldn't get a fix in time and Allstate dropped our home insurance without contacting us or checking in. We now are forced to look elsewhere in a very hard time in our lives. Allstate was not willing to work with us further, give us an extension, or have any sympathy. Never again will I work with them, and will be taking our cars off as well.

I spoke initially with Steve Sweeney who pointed to the quick-photo app process for my first auto-claim. His team-member Larry Marshall went as far as making a 3-way conference-call to be on the line with me when dealing with Allstate claims call-center in order to make sure claim moved along. With every encounter I found Larry Marshall professional, personable, readily available, and always willing to work to solve any issue or concern I had.
