Knox County Water Department notified us that we had a water line break on our property and recommended Edsel Excavating. Edsel Excavating ran a new water line, cut the old line but neglected to cap it. Two weeks later we went to our property and found the basement flooded. Discovered that the water was pouring out of the cut line that had not been capped. Called owner of Edsel Excavating immediately. He came out, capped the line but refused to contact his insurance company to start the restoration process of our flooded basement. This forced us to put a claim on our own homeowner's insurance. We contacted our insurance company who assured us we would get reimbursement for our deductible. One year later, we still have not received reimbursement for our $1,000 deductible that we had to pay due to Edsel's Excavating's incompetency. According to our insurance adjuster, Edsel is denying any wrong-doing.

This is a great family business. Ed has been in business for 26 years. They are very dependable and gets the job done and done right.

This family I have known a long time they are very honest folks. I would get them if I needed certain jobs done.
