This was my first time here but I had a great time playing kickball with some friends. The umps (I believe there was a guy and a girl) were fair and super friendly. Don't know why the reviews are so low, but will definitely be back to play some more if I'm ever in OH again!

The male and female umpires for this most recent kickball league were trash. Between missing calls, lying about calls, it'd be better to have no umpires at all. The larger male umpire told us he would've given us outs we earned if we didn't bring glass bottles to the park we played at. We didn't know glass bottles weren't allowed, so we stopped when we were told. But, to let that be something that influenced earned outs is complete immaturity and corruption.

This was my team's first time joining a kickball league and overall, we had a great time, which is the most important thing. However, there are some negatives that make us want to consider other leagues. The positives: 1. Easy for free agents to sign up. That's how my team got together! 2. Staff were easy to work with. The negatives: 1. Goodale Park is a TERRIBLE field. Very uneven playing field. Ball bounces all over the place (very tough to pitch a straight ball). Bases are not anchored down. We were lucky no one twisted an ankle or worse. SM should seriously look into other fields - it is that bad. 2. It is much more expensive than other leagues! $700 for fall ball is very steep considering CRPD is $350 and Commons is $450. Might get more teams signing up if you bring the price down a little!

Have been placed in the incorrect league I signed up for literally every time. This is the last of it. Have to message 10 times in order to get refund. Highly disorganized. If you’re new to Columbus and need to find a rec league, steer clear from sports monster.
