Unfortunate as it is, Cornerstone is 1 of 4 outpatient programs I have attended. Cornerstone is also the last outpatient program I attended. I have a little over 2 years of being clean and sober and this is the longest amount of time I’ve had after numerous treatment programs. I like that there wasn’t any “fluff†to the program. It was real talk and real skills to apply in the real world. For myself, I needed a 12-step program of recovery and I got the encouragement I needed to pursue that route but even if that’s not for you, I feel Cornerstone respects different approaches to recovery and accepts people for just where they are. It wasn’t an assembly-line operation where the counselors are just trying to get you in and out. I appreciated the small intimate group atmosphere Cornerstone provided. Sarah was my counselor and I couldn’t have asked for a better one. I knew that she genuinely cared about me and could empathize with me. Her door was always open when I needed to work through something outside of group and I’m so thankful she made herself available when I was going through such a major life transition. We continue to stay in touch and it’s been almost 2 years since I was one of her patients. That is priceless! And all of the staff Cornerstone made me feel welcomed and like family. I loved sharing my progress with Miss Jackie at the front desk because she would get so excited and that encouragement went a long way. Hands down, Cornerstone is THEE BEST outpatient program in Columbus!

As an Addiction’s specialist in the Columbus area since 1996, I’m thrilled that we have cornerstone of recovery in our area. When you call you get an extremely friendly and helpful voice, no voice mail, who will schedule you for an assessment almost immediately. The staff are professional and talented, giving a dual diagnosis treatment experience that almost all of my referred clients find very very valuable. You are treated with dignity and respect in a beautiful atmosphere. It’s a small staff, many who have been there for years, showing that they are treated well there and care about investing in Cornerstone. The skill level is high, as this unique abstinence based environment offers symptom management and true help integrating back into a lifestyle of recovery. Highly recommend. As the Executive Director of the Ohio Lawyers Assistance Program, on a daily basis, I work with clients who question their relationships with alcohol and/or drugs. Whenever I determine that my clients in the central Ohio area need immediate help, I send them to Cornerstone of Recovery in Columbus. I have been sending clients there since they opened their Columbus office. I have not had one negative experience with this facility. There is no delay in admitting clients for appointments or whatever treatment program is deemed necessary. Not only does Cornerstone treat those in recovery with respect and empathy, Cornerstone also provides me with the results of clients’ assessments in a timely manner. I never have to ask for a status update on a client. Cornerstone provides ongoing status reports without being asked. The only clients who ever complain are the ones who need help the most. I highly recommend Cornerstone to those who wish to recover. Its goal is to offer addicts and alcoholics an opportunity to stop using drugs and drinking, lose the desire to do so, and find a new way to live. Through the clients who I recommend from the Ohio Lawyers Assistance Program, I can say that Cornerstone has met that goal with the clients who stay in recovery. Scott R. I cannot say enough positive things about Cornerstone of Recovery. My experience started with the first phone call. Jackie was extremely kind and gentle with me. The IOP program content was extremely relevant and the staff genuinely cared about my progress, and treated me with the utmost respect and dignity. Kim went out of her way to introduce herself and Sally was always willing to talk to me about my family issues. Sarah and Adam's door was always open. It is clear that the entire staff cares about YOU as an individual, and celebrate even the smallest victories with you. The offices and group rooms are full of light. The entire staff are 100% invested in your recovery, and from the first day you are encouraged to practice your recovery in all aspects of your life. I am beyond grateful for the support I received. In fact, you never have to leave! I continue in a weekly Aftercare program that is offered free of charge, and a weekly Caduceus 12 step meeting for medical professionals. I also continue in therapy with Sarah. As they continue to tell me "your success is our success".
