J.D. Johnson Basement Waterproofing

Our 70 year old home had a deteriorating basement water issue, and decided to give them a call. Sales rep contacted me for a same-week appointment - providing a quote that seemed too reasonable to pass up. Contract and deposit submitted with an estimated construction date about 6 weeks out.....Sure enough, I was informed JD Johnson crew would be on- site on the appointed day, work began on time, and ended in 2 days. Crew was polite, professional, and business-like throughout, obtaining the proper permits and follow-up, with a meticulous job of cleanup afterwards. Had what I would consider our first major rain event since - basement is dry for the first time in years, while sump pump is quiet and performing as it should. Had a minor hiccup with a totally new slop-sink/tub install (replacing the 70 year-old original 400 lb cement and iron framed sink) - the supervisor came out, ordered and picked up the correct replacement parts and everything was perfect. Some may not feel comfortable with the interior type of waterproofing/diversion, but it works well for me (had 2 other jobs at houses done over the years) - but JD Johnson afforded me the luxury of saving a substantial sum in comparison by going with this outstanding organization . Finally, the real selling point - besides cost savings, peace of mind, and lifetime guarantee - was a post I read before even making the appointment: An employee stated what a great company it is to work for, and how much he/she not only enjoyed working for JD Johnson, but how well they take care of their employees.....think about that......Happy employees make for an even happier customer. UPDATE April 27, 2021: One of the reasons we wanted basement waterproofed was for resale.....it was important for us to offer a dry basement, with a lifetime transferable warranty, at a cost that would offer a good return on our investment We feel this made an impact on our recent sale - altho a strong housing market played a big role, the fact we had a signed contract in less than 16 hours from listing can be attributed, in part, to JD Johnson and the excellent job their crew performed at a desirable price point.

They were very efficient and very knowledgeable about there business. They handled the job in a professional manner and they were there to answer any questions or concerns and to they were very professional. I would recommend this company to anyone that needs this type of work.

JD Waterproofing recently completed a job in our basement. In addition to the entire crew interacting in a very respectful manner, they all made sure to wear masks while in my house anytime they were outside of the basement. During this time of Covid, it was an incredible relief to know that I did not need to be concerned about unnecessary exposure. In addition, the work was completed in less time than originally quoted, thus also reducing any exposure or inconvenience on our part. The team cleaned up fairly well after themselves, including making sure to clean foot prints off of our entryway. As for far as the waterproofing goes, I have to trust that it will work! But I have to wait for a big rain storm to find out for sure.
