Five Star Brand Meats

After reading a review by local news Outlet they voted they're hot dogs the best out of a bunch they tried, so I thought I'll try them. I like a good quality hot dog. Their label says old fashioned, natural casing I thought great, nice quality like what I grew up. After trying them was not too impressed. They were sweet tasting, didn't have the flavoring I expected from an old fashioned hot dog.so I looked at the ingredients it is far from Old Fashioned to say the least. Modified starch - not old-fashioned, dextrose -not old-fashioned, 6 different types of sodium derivatives - not old-fashioned, corn syrup. Natural flavorings instead of spices, not old-fashioned either. At about $6 a pound, I expected better quality, authentic old fashioned quality, not just a printed label saying so. It's sad, this latest generation have no idea how great food used to taste, Will not buy again.

Hands down the best meats I have ever had. Pickles and cheese is great too.
