I stayed in this building for one year, and it was the worst experience I have ever had. The floor was not level, and the heating system was awful. The manager is a really rude person, and when I moved out, they sent a bill to me after one month, and they did not refund my deposit for unwarranted expenses. I would not recommend staying here for even one day. If you Google the name of the owner, you will find out everything about them.

This building is still owned by Alan Pearlman, a local slumlord so notorious he has his own hate website. Go google him, he's got over 18 judgments against him in Ohio, including one doozy that's almost $20,000. Sign out front saying new management is a boldfaced lie. He's been sanctioned for unlicensed practice of law, regularly withholds deposits, and is generally a bad man who runs bad buildings. You're likely to lose your deposit, maintenance is likely to be poor, and you shouldn't trust the positive reviews as Alan has paid people to leave good reviews in the past. Update 2022: Homeboy ran an industrial ozone machine for 72 hours unattended to remove the smell of a dead body(?!), and the ozone sent several residents to the hospital with lung damage. What an abysmal human. STAY AWAY.

I lived in this apartment for one year and it was the most painful year of my life. There were pipe bursts during the winter and the landlord never fixed the toilet. When we asked him to fix the toilet, he said hes not going to fix it. The landlord harasses tenants, for no reason and we hardly got any of our security deposit back. This landlord is not going to give your security deposit back. He will charge you for unnecessary expenses after you move out. Do not move into this apartment - especially international students. Google Alan Pearlman aka Gordon Allen and apparently a new name AJA. This dude is a joke and beware all renters. Dung fall for the amazing gift card Offers and free WiFi- his WiFi is medieval with hardly any coverage. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from this place! Also the five star ratings are paid and bought by the landlord by giving tenants rent discounts

Lived here for a year while working at Cleveland Clinic and thought a 3.5 star on google reviews wasn't bad, the random 1 -star reviews on other sites must've been fake right? WRONG. Those are fake 5 star reviews here. This is a VERY old building with poor heating system - I had to isolate myself in a bedroom with doors to other rooms closed to barely keep warm and still pay $200+/month in heat charges in the winter. Parking is underground - always wet and musky, with an inconvenient 1-way path to get in/out of, you will NOT be able to fit any car larger than a compact SUV through it. As mentioned in reviews you'll find all over the internet, the owner, Alan Pearlman (goes by Gordon Allen in emails), is a real piece of work. He was rude and threatening to a friend who parked on the surface lot for 5 minutes to pick me up. If you think you're going to get any deposit back, think again! He will add as many charges as possible to make sure you don't. "Scratches on the floor" of a decades-old building? Okay buddy. My fridge came with a detached drawer and he charged me for that. Not surprising given his history of lawsuits. What a scum. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
