Its too bad about this mall, Im new to the area so only was there a couple times when it was mostly empty, but the playground area inside for the kids was one of the best I have seen in a mall. This is sad they couldnt revive this mall!

Awesome..
** Sad to hear this will be changed. One of the last malls of my childhood! It is good to see the land being rescued, sometimes it's just sad to see it HAVE to. It was nice checking it out before they close it for construction.. Found some awesome pants, had pretzels and enjoyed a walk down memory lane.

An ode to Tri County Mall.
In the 90s as a teen my friends and I drove past two malls to get to you.
In the 00s we lost touch but regained contact in 2019 and you became my favorite place to walk around when it was raining.
I loved your creepy yet somehow comforting desolate halls, the glowing bright pink light of the stuffed animal vending machine in the middle of an entirely empty hall, the completely deserted food court under a huge circular skylight with kiddie rides in the middle that would randomly belt out car honking noises to no one every few minutes, the mall music echoing around to a crowd of maybe seven people, and even that sickening smell combination of pastries, shower gel, and Abercrombie cologne that somehow remained well after Abercrombie closed.
I will miss walking around in you, especially when it's raining. RIP

it's not sad, people. oh my gosh. a dead mall. I'm going to cry. don't you appreciate the beauty of urban decay exploration? don't you appreciate the solace of having a wonderful somewhat uncrowded place to walk indoors without salespeople accosting you every 3 minutes? the only sad thing would be if these dead malls were torn down or converted to an Amazon warehouse. now that would be a sad day. but as is, dead malls are lovely and a unique experience available to us humans in the year of our lord 2021, past the time of extreme overcrowding and annoying Abercrombie and Fitch cologne but before they're destroyed. enjoy it while you can.
