There a rip-off charge me $5.03 for a 22lb how much can I sell for when the store down the road sells it 3.99. Plus the cheap equipment breaks down give half for ice. Second time Kyle Kenny takes the machine and ice bag were melt. Don't pay me for the ice.

I have been very disappointed that our local ice company (Lang Ice) was bought out by Home City Ice. The quality is NO where near what Lang's was. According to the web site, Home City makes sure there is no "snow" shavings in their bags... well that's all we seem to get among the uneven chunks that we have to break even smaller when trying to get a few cubes instead of the whole bag at once. I also am unhappy with the metal clasp that closes the bag... it's impossible to get off without a pair of pliers, then there's no way to reclose the bag. I realize there is a way to pull the bag thru the "staple" clasp that is better than just ripping the bag open, but still there's no way to reclose the bag, because we don't use a whole bag at once. I am very unhappy that this is my only choice in NW Indiana to purchase "cubed" ice. I do not have the freezer space to make my own and prefer the taste of manufactured ice.... but I'm wondering if it's worth the cost and hassle of fighting the bag and for all the "snow' shavings that we end up with per bag.

They often let the ice bins go empty and then hang up on you when you call to inquire about a delivery. Horrible to deal with.

We have been using their ice delivery service for awhile. I have left messages with the local plant, requested a delivery by phone, requested a delivery online, talked to someone in Cincinnati, and still have no ice. Plus my bill was just recently raised to where it cost me more than $2 per 7lb bag with a delivery fee; the gas station around the corner has ice for $1.99 per 8lb bag. I have been trying to get ice for the last week. Update: Driver just showed up. He was extremely nice and pleasant and had great customer service.
