Unfortunately choosing Crockett Homes to build my home was a huge mistake on my part. They are who they are and I should have been more diligent in seeking out references. Here is a list of complications. Does not document change very well. Very bad project manager. Does not pay sub contractors in a timely manner or at all. Had a mechanics lein placed on my property because of non payment.

I would not recommend using this company to build. We were told our build would take six months, which ended up being 11 months. Promises made and not kept. We had to manage our own project and as time passed, they became less responsive to our calls and emails. Please thoroughly research your builder, ask for references from some their recent clients and ask about their satisfaction during the build and of their final product. Use your local building association as a resource. I would not wish the nightmare we experienced on anyone. Service: Design

Overall, our building experience was a complete disaster and I would not recommend this builder to anyone. At times, our home sat for weeks without any work being completed and when questioned we would receive nothing but excuse after excuse. We were verbally told that our ranch, which is approximately around 1640 square feet on the 1st floor should take six months to complete. Unfortunately, with numerous issues not being addressed, length of build (over a year), having to pay a mortgage on our unfinished home and failure to adhere to the local laws of our county with respect to periodic inspections we made the decision to finish the project ourselves in January of 2020. Please do extensive research on whomever you choose to build a new home with and be absolutely sure that all work is completed correctly before signing off on any draw checks. My hope is that no one will ever go through the experiences we encountered when building our dream home.

This is the second spec home they have built in our neighborhood both times they have been terrible about controlling the high grass and Weeds. They don't seem to care about keeping the neighborhood nce looking at all. That makes for terrible and unprofessional neighbors
