Maintenance Plus Group

We hired Maintenance Plus Group December 2021 to install french drains, foundation waterproofing, footers and cement slab for a crawlspace addition. We paid the full amount ($23,000) for the whole job. On day 2, they broke a 4x8 section of brick off of the side of my house and to this day never bothered to repair it. The drains are still unfinished, the rear foundation I discovered after digging that area out has no waterproofing on the wall at all, and the basement is still wet in this area. He never put gravel in the 26x30 crawl space nor poured the foundation floor. He kept asking for more and more payments, but they worked less and less. It got to a point where they just never came at all, but all along saying "we have another job in Burton," we have another job in Solon..." but we were PAID IN FULL with all of these jobs in the contract not complete, plus a broken portion of my house at his negligence. This job that he told us would take 2 weeks, went on well over 6 weeks until the snowstorm in January and never saw any work after that. Mike Sheets had the nerve to call me "fu....ing" this and that, screaming at me because I showed up at his house CAUSE HE TOOK MY MONEY AND LEFT ME HIGH AND DRY. Now he is officially gone and I have to pay for the gravel, the foundation, brick repair, waterproofing on the rear of my house...ANOTHER $6000. He should not be in business. Liar and deceiver.

Mike Sheets and maintenance plus group are con artist. They steal your money by saying they will do the work and then they never show up. This company started a project 3 and a half months ago and still have not completed the project. They say they will come but always have some sort of excuse. They lie about doing quality work, they lie about when they will finish a job and the work, they do is garbage. They can not be trusted. They do not call back. What they do is get your money and then they keep you hanging on because they think they have you as a customer. Do not use their service. You will be scammed.

Zero stars!! BEWARE!! This company is the absolute worst contractor I have ever dealt with in 35 years of home ownership! Once you sign the proposal, you never hear from them. Be prepared to hound them via phone to get them to even show up and do the work. But think it through. I learned the hard way. It would have been better to never have them do anything. Dealing with a damp basement I engaged them to do their "pipe exploration" to determine what work was needed. Since I hounded him to get it done, they finally showed 3 months later and demanded payment that day, then I never heard from them again!! I was told the owner would review the pictures and be in touch with a proposal for needed work - I NEVER heard from him! No findings report, no proposal of new work, not even a phone call!! Now, 4 months later, I have to start over with another firm! I asked for a refund, and they refused. I did report them to the BBB and they completely lied in their response. The absolute worst - do not use this company!
