My family stayed at the 1861 Inn for several days while attending a funeral. The Inn is lovely and quite comfortable, and the setting is very peaceful. The innkeepers, Carole and Tom, were incredibly kind and accommodating during this difficult time. Moreover, the food was outstanding! Carole is a phenomenal cook. This was by far the best lodging choice in Clermont County.

Five members of my family stayed at the Inn for 2 nights on the weekend of our daughter's wedding. The basics of comfort, delicious breakfasts, and lovely rooms were all there - however, Carole and Tom graciously accommodated extra family who came for photos and wedding preparations. We had a wonderful time and made great memories. Carole and Tom have indeed created an oasis in Batavia.

A beautiful comfortable setting, with great breakfast, and excellent hospitality. We will long treasure the memory of lounging by the pool and enjoying the day swinging on the front porch. Learning about the history of the house was icing on the cake! We'll definitely be back.
