Sergeant Menard is an excellent recruiter! He took the time to thoroughly research and answer all the questions that I had about the military. The US Army Akron Medical Recruiting Station has been nothing short of excellent throughout my time working with them. Sargeant Andrew Menard has been more than proficient with his profession and has made a very complex application process run very smoothly. I have been working with Sargeant Menard for the past 6 months preparing a packet for the HPSP Veterinary Scholarship, and considering this was his first time working with a Veterinary student, he has made the experience amazing. He is undoubtably dedicated to his work and frequently goes out of his way to ensure the correct steps are taken in each process. I am very fortunate to be working with Sargeant Menard, and I believe he is giving me the best opportunity to have a career with the United States Army.

I reached out to SFC Andrew Menard at the end of November 2020 as a 4th year Clinical Psychology PhD candidate, interested in applying for the Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP). After learning about the December 1st deadline that was fast approaching, we were sent on a dizzying, mad dash to complete tons of paperwork, get my fingerprints, schedule my physical, obtain letters of recommendation, and jump through just about every hoop imaginable to meet the deadline. I cannot say enough good things about SFC Menard. He could have easily told me this opportunity wouldnt be possible for me based on time constraints. Instead, he worked tirelessly to get 6+ months of work done in 5 business days (not an exaggeration...), and believed in me enough to go the extra mile to make sure my application had the chance to be reviewed. I am ecstatic to report that this story has a happy ending, as I was selected for this life-changing scholarship that will begin my career as a military psychologist. SFC Menard absolutely goes above and beyond in his position. He is professional, attentive, transparent, and a realistic optimist. His passion for his work as an AMEDD recruiter and for the U.S. Army shines in all he does. I cannot fully express my gratitude for his work alongside me as I made this huge step in my career, and I am eager to soon serve as an Officer and Clinical Psychologist in the U.S. Army.
