I own a small business in the Akron area and recently tried to work with one of Cascades employees- Bob Fillipiak. Cascade boasts that theyre an economic development company that helps small businesses in the community and that was not at all how I was treated. I was pursuing financing for my business to help us grow. Upon presenting my financials I was accused of lying on internal, software generated papers. I was accused of having my CPA lie on my taxes. It was the most absurd experience. He also kept comparing my company to multi million dollar companies which is obviously comparing apples to oranges. Not at all small business oriented. I wouldnt accept money from them if it were a gift. Check out ECDI- theyre rates are higher but at least their staff treats you like youre an actual human being and with the dignity you deserve.
