I cannot say enough good about Miss Tonya! She cares deeply about children and everybody she meets. I highly recommend this facility

Ms. Tonya genuinely cares about the children, yes. I will not take that away from her. However she is VERY manipulative, greedy, and comes across as caring when in fact she does not care at all when it is not in her favor. In 2020 she received my smart start vouchers for BOTH of my children and only accepted one because did not take infants. At the time, I did not want to lose my vouchers so it seemed like the ideal thing to do. Fast forward to Jan 2022, I began working for Ms. Tonya in her home center with the understanding of being Assistant Director of the actual center she was to open the first or second week of February 2022. On February 17th, I came to her with health concerns due to not having a lunchbreak after working 8-9hr shifts with mixed age grouping due to being ill several days. I was not allowed to bring food that smelled or have food delivered without her knowledge. (and SO much more) This resulted in her telling me to leave since I felt this way. My children (ages 2 and 5) were also moved back to her center the beginning of February and going to transfer to the new center. Once I was told to leave on 2/17/22 she said only Mon and Fri was available for my children to attend. When I picked them up on 2/18/22 she then stated only Friday was available. On Thursday 2/24/22 I sent her a text asking if Friday 2/25/22 was still OK and she responded saying she did not know and would let me know at nap time. She then called about 3 minutes later saying a child who only comes on Tuesday and Thursday needed Friday as well because her mom had an exam to take. Let me remind you all, she had BOTH of my vouchers and my children were unable to come all week due to her being "over". She agreed my children could come 2/25/22 and an hour before drop off she text me saying she could no longer provide service for my children...an HOUR before drop off. I worked there from 1/10/22-2/17/22 and was over several days. Space was never an issue until I was dismissed. She then offered to hold my vouchers until I found childcare else where and my children not attend. When I spoke up about it, she then emailed Smart Start a Ten Day Notice for my vouchers which resulted in me losing my vouchers. I have until 3/11/22 to find childcare to overturn the termination. I did nothing but try to help her with her business as others have. There is a reason she is the only person working in her center. Smart Start doesn't care about her fraud and I am now out of vouchers. I will prevail, God does not play about his children. I did not want to write this review, however my situation and mishandling of my vouchers could save someone else. Peace, love, and light
