I dined alone, so I had time to really take in the atmosphere. The dining room I was in seemed dull and claustrophobic. No real zeal to entertain the eye. I was seated at a 2 top shoved along the back wall. They had 2 tops that had booth seat facing the room. Having been sat at one of those would have helped with the closed in feeling.
The service was impeccable. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about this place is "hoity-toity" or pretentious. The food struggled with portion abundance. I would have been thrilled to have about 1/3 less brussel sprouts. Which are Effing PHENOMENAL! I ate about 3 too many, which pushed my taste buds beyond the relm of perfection and into "well, now, that's just oversalted." Difficult to not eat every morsel. I had to leave a few... sadly.
Overall, the food isn't pretty, but it tastes exceptional.

Salad was wilted, service was a bit lacking.
Rather forgettable...
Just a pit stop on the way to Charleston.
