Off Leash K9 Training, Wilmington

If I could leave 10 stars, I would. Not only has our 7 month old golden doodle learned every command we can possibly think of, but we have also gained a sense of reassurance when we take him places. Even when hes off leash, my wife and I are 100% confident that he will listen to anything and everything we ask him to do without hesitation. At just 7 months old, that stereotypical puppy behavior is no longer there. Through Jans commitment to our dog, and the constant contact through our lessons to ensure we have all the resources we need, we now have the dog of our dreams! We couldnt be more thrilled, and I would recommend Jan to anyone looking to train their dog! SO SO worth it!!

Just finished my second session with Jan and I am beyond pleased, very knowledgeable. With just two sessions under our belt I already see noticeable improvements. My dog Scooby still has a long way to go but I can confidently say we will be back and in good hands with Jan and the entire Off Leash k9 team. I look forward to many more sessions

We sent our one year old Golden to Jan for a week after being pointed in her direction by a number of folks who had great experiences with her training programs, both the board and train packages and other follow-on training programs. Previously, our dog was prone to pulling while on a leash and jumping on people as they approached him. This was a serious problem because he is the unofficial greeter at a local retail store. After a week with Jan, we no longer even need a leash to walk our pup. He is excellent off the leash and calm and obedient in a retail setting with new people walking in and out every moment. Even when he is greeting new people he instantly reacts and obeys the commands Jan taught us and he seems to genuinely enjoy working on his obedience. Jan and her team of trainers at Off Leash excel at obedience training and is is impressive to watch them work!

When we first approached Jan to discuss her off leash program, we were desperate. Meeko was already 3 years old, and we were afraid he was set in his habits that prevented us from taking him out in public at all. Meeko had uncontrollable barking at anyone that ran past us during our regular walks. When people visited us, we would spend the first 10 minutes reacting to Meekos obnoxious barking. The rest of the evening we would spend in anxiety over when he would start barking again or lunging at our guests. He bit us twice during social and stressful situations. We discussed all of these things with Jan, and she was able to see it firsthand when she met Meeko. She educated us on the changes that needed to happen and the work to be done, mostly on our part for Meeko. Jans experience and ability to break down the why and how made the training lessons enjoyable and easy to learn. She was always available for questions, and she was flexible and accommodating given our busy schedules. Now, Meeko is a happy and disciplined dog during our walks and social gatherings. He was able to walk off leash on the Riverwalk with people/dogs walking and running past us without a single bark the whole time. We highly recommend Off Leash for your dog and your family!
