My family and I have just bought a house and we have been living here a week now. I called pee Dee twice last week and my husband called once and the woman would not switch the service into our name because the previous owner hadn't canceled service. The woman I spoke to basically wanted us to stop calling and she said she would call us back once the previous owner canceled service. We have the deed in our name. Now a week later we have a service guy show up at our house to cut the power off with it being cold outside . We have a toddler. Thankfully I was home and the service guy got ahold of someone to let them know we would call them to set up our account. If I wasn't home the power would be off.
