Very disappointed with $35 "diagnostic" service provided for 2 printers. Seems like two person operation. One does the "diagnostics" and the other works the front desk. The person who communicates with the client is the front desk person who knows nothing about printers, didn't do the "diagnostics" or understand what the issues are and can't answer any questions. A request for the "diagnostics expert" to call was unheeded. One printer didn't print as there are problems with the printhead. This is why it was taken for "diagnostics" at this company and why $35 was paid. Answer from "diagnostics expert": printer can't print as there is a problem with the printhead. Yes, thank you. Knew that before I took it there. The other printer - the comment was slightly more helpful, problem is with the power supply with the recommendation of sending printer to recycle bin. Power supply is $35 and printer is $120. Why was this recommendation given not to repair it? "Expert" would not provide any answers and would not call to explain. When you take your vehicle to a repair shop and they do diagnostics, you get an exact list of what is wrong, the cost of the repair, even part numbers and if they can't repair it, where it can be taken. With a paid printer diagnostic service, you expect the same. Where are issues? What needs to be replaced? Estimated cost to bring printer back to full functioning. I can understand that a free diagnostics would be short on details, but a $35 "diagnostics" service should provide plenty of details - nope; I should be able to speak to the "mechanic" - nope; I should find out total cost to repair and what needs to be replaced - nope. But don't worry, I was left with a parting gift. A dirty stain on the inside of one of my printers. Coffee? Rusty pipe? Spilled toner? Who knows. In summary, you will not get any diagnostics for $35 if you are a one time customer looking for answers. Maybe more is done for their regular customers or those with a service contract (seems like the positive comments come from customers with an agreement). However, $70 for "diagnostics" could have been well spent elsewhere in my opinion. If you have a printer that doesn't work and you need answers, this is NOT the place to go I am sorry to say. Update: when I picked up the printers, I was given a printout for each printer with very little helpful information. the reason for each printer not working was cut and paste into both sheets although their situations were different so now I don't know which printer the diagnostic applies to. This was unfortunately a waste of money. I know about as much now as when I brought them for repairs.
