Ransomshire Shepherds

I researched the heck out of Ellen and Ransomshire through the AKC, GoodDog.com, the GSDCA, through social media and word of mouth before I decided to even start talking puppies. She welcomed me out to meet her current litter and meet her dogs though I wasn't ready for a new family member just yet. I had suddenly lost my previous GSD to cancer and cried as I left. It did help me start to heal, though. I liked everything I saw about how the puppies were being raised, the conditions they were living in, their early stimulation and socialization, and how well adjusted they all were. Six months later, I was ready for a puppy. I was able to visit the litter weekly and watch them grow, play with them and watch them develop personalities. While I didn't pick one out during that time, I had faith that the right puppy would come in to my life at the right time. My Chaser (Storm Chaser) is a sweet, smart, fun boy. He loves to cuddle and romp and play. He's friendly and loves kids! I have had a great experience with Ellen. She communicates as quickly as she can and I know I have support for life. She gives 100% to each and every puppy that passes through Ransomshire. I would definitely get a puppy again from her in the future.

Ellen was wonderful and patient with us. We took two impromptu visits to meet the pups. Our first trip was just days after birth. Ellen was always welcoming, even when the visit was planned just hours before we arrived. We are surely planning to be repeat clients. Thanks for all of the great advice Ellen.

I did a lot of research before choosing Ransomshire Shepherds and I'm so thankful I went with them. Ellen was easy to work with and provides well balanced healthy pups. My girl is now 6 months old and has been the perfect addition to our family!

We could not have been more thrilled with our experience at Ransomshire Shepherds! From day 1, Ellen was incredibly welcoming and transparent. After expressing our interest in a GSD, she let us meet a litter of new pups & their moms GiGi & Angel (all beautiful & healthy). She showed us around her puppy area and all the ways that she ensures they are set up for a great life! The area was clean, cozy, and there was a turf area where the puppies eventually graduated to so they could learn to play & explore safely. She then gave us a tour of her gorgeous property, let us feed some baby goats & even gave us a dozen fresh eggs on the house! We left that day beyond confident in our decision to go with Ransomshire Shepherds. We are now thrilled to have added our sweet girl Athena to our family. The vet could not stop raving about how beautiful & healthy she was & she has proven to be a wonderful dog with a great temperament and lots of energy! We are so thankful to Ellen for guiding us the entire process & look forward to getting Athena a brother in a few years!

My parents got a German Shepherd from Ellen when I was 12 years old. His name was Sarge and I have the fondest memories of the best dog we ever had. He lived until he was 14 years old and his hips never gave out. Fast forward to two years ago when my boyfriend and I decided to get a dog. I remembered how amazing Sarge was and decided to go to Ellen. She was very thorough in the adoption process and made absolute sure we were a right fit for one of her pups. She also made sure the pup we selected was a right fit for us based on our lifestyle. She went through great lengths in the first several weeks of the puppies life to expose it to as much as possible, and even began training, obedience, and manners. We received Ash from her and he is truly such an incredible dog. I bring him to work with me everyday, in a retail showroom, and everyone comments how well behaved he is and how calm he is for a puppy. He is so intelligent and has been a breeze to train. We look forward to spending many more years with him and recommend Ellen to every one looking for a one of a kind furry partner.
