I love Dr. Mcglohon, I have been going to Dr. Mcglohon since I was a little girl. The whole staff is very friendly and the hygienist was gentle on my teeth. I will definitely go back.

When I called to make an appointment for the first visit my first question to the woman in the office was if they accepted CIGNA dental insurance. She said yes and I made the appointment. I went in and they took two x-rays and did an oral examination. The dentist then made his recommendations and we were finished. When I went out to the front desk and handed her my insurance ID card I learned that their office is not in the Cigna network and the woman did not know how to formulate my bill. I told her to call CIGNA dental which she did and spoke with a representative. While she was talking to this person she was writing things down. At the end of the conversation she had determined that my responsibility for a $140 bill was $69.20. At this time I asked her why she had told me that they accepted Cigna Dental if they were not in the Cigna Network. The woman apologize to me and said that she does not do this job regularly and is a dental hygienist and is only covering for the woman who normally does this job. I reluctantly paid this bill because I have never had to pay 50% of a dental maintenance bill before. About three weeks later I received an additional bill asking for $44.76. Which now means that I would be paying for over 91% of the total bill. I had checked with by CIGNA insurance and if this dentist were in the CIGNA network as they first said They were I would not have had to of paid one penny because I would’ve been covered 100%. I refuse to pay anymore money and now this dentist has sent a balance of $44.76 to a collection agency. I feel that this is very unprofessional of his practice considering that it was his staff who misrepresented as to what insurance they took prior to my appointment.
