I have been a customer of Olde Raleigh Shoe Repair for over a decade. I have always found the owner to be pleasant, helpful and his prices very reasonable. His work is always ready and on time. I have taken many items to him to be repaired including shoes, boots, belts, handbags and even a backpack which had been chewed by our dog! In speaking with him recently he mentioned that he has more and more customers who never pick up there items despite his numerous phone calls to them letting them know their items are ready or he cannot even contact them. In all of these scenarios he has lost valuable time and money. He has decided to ask for payment up front (like many businesses do today…dentists, medical offices etc) in cases where he does not know the customer (and is not sure he will return to get his items). For those of us he has dealt with over the years and knows we will pick up and pay for our items, this is not an issue. I qpplaud him for talking this action so that he can protect his business and continue serving his customers. I cannot imagine anyone faulting him. This was not an easy decision to make but totally necessary given the attitude of some customers. Again, his work is very good and we are so lucky to have his shop in our area!

I just called to get a rough estimate and he said I don't know have to see thanks and hung up on me rude wont be going there

two weeks ago, I have left two pair of shoes. The job was very excellent and he is very kind. I would recommend everyone to repair his or her shoes. His job is so excellent that he is well known for his profession in that town. Everyone in that town recognizes his for his profession. Again recommend this store to everyone to try. trying is believing!!

I have gone to Olde Raleigh Shoe Repair for years. Always high quality work at very fair prices. The owner is very friendly and a joy to talk to. I won't go anywhere else!
